Classroom Birthday Surprises

Help me give my students a pretend milkshake filled with goodies to make their birthday come to life in the classroom.

My Project

All students deserve to be recognized every day, but especially on their birthdays! I love to celebrate birthdays in my classroom, to help make students feel extra special. Students to be recognized on their birthdays (or half-birthdays for summer birthdays). Students who I rarely see smile, put on an extra smile for their birthday. Showing care and concern for special events in student's lives shows another kind of care and concern that students cherish.

Help me bring a special element of surprise and happiness to my students with a creative birthday cup filled with goodies and a birthday sash to wear on their birthday.

I started this idea last year and the smiles that my students gave were priceless. One of my students told me that the gift that I gave them was the only gift they had received for their birthday. At that moment, I knew I had to do whatever it took to keep this going for the next year. Help me make those memories in my classroom this year.

My students would be also able to use our calendar to count down to the next birthday in the class to keep track of the days to include math.
