Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a class of 25 amazing little kindergarteners, T-Kers, and first graders who have the world in their grasps. They all love learning and we do the best we can with the little we have. A lot of kiddos have never been in a classroom before. Covid closed down preschools, daycares and schools in our area.
I have my sights and goals to make learning fun for them since they missed out on so much already.
I am a strong believer in personalized learning which is catered to each individual child. The school site I work at is small but this allows students to become familiar with each other in the school system. The students in the classroom come from various backgrounds in which some live with family members other than their mom and dad, some are considered homeless, some can barely afford basic needs of survival but most students are well cared for and provided food and shelter. I want my students to love to come to school, so we do lots of hands on activities, crafts, and movement learning!
My Project
I want to make my classroom a more inviting place without having to constantly buy different items when I can easily make them on my own. With this Silhouette Cameo machine I will create endless projects that will beautify my classroom!.
I hope to get this project funded so I can beautify my classroom so my students will want to come to school.
I plan to make bulletin board letters and pictures so my room is more inviting. I would also like to organize my classroom and create labels so my students can quickly and easily access the materials for the day and make them more independent. I want to make stickers for incentives, as well as (what I am most excited for!) parent gifts and classroom management. This one small machine will impact my classroom in huge ways for the better!
