This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have settled into our daily routines and students understand the educational and executive functioning expectations that I have of them. What we do not have, are some key supplies. The NYC DOE cut our funding drastically so our classrooms are all 28+ students. Because of this, I did not have enough binders to distribute to all students. We are respectfully asking for binders and other classroom necessities. Many students have torn papers and so the hole reinforces will allow students to keep their papers organized for the entire year.

This mini-grant is a wonderful opportunity to get the basic supplies that we need for the classroom.

Therefore, we are asking for pencils, paper, pens, and wipes to keep our desks clean. I am so grateful to you all for all of your support and sustenance. Without Donorschoose I cannot imagine my classroom functioning or the educational outcomes of the students.
