Basic supplies and organization is the key to any classroom! As kindergarteners, my students are new to managing their belongings. The mailboxes will help them keep their work in one spot for an easy transition to go home each week. This will also help with gaining independence as they put their work from their mailbox in their folder.
The colorful trays will be used for both literacy and math centers.
We are constantly using beads, legos, playdoh, blocks, cubes, and other small objects. Keeping these items on trays will help students stay on task and help them keep all of the items in front of them in one spot.
Our new English Language Arts program has a unit that includes painting which my students will love. Allowing each student to have their own paint palette will allow for creativity and learning at the same time.
