My Project

In my SEL (Social Emotional Learning) classroom, my goal is to create an environment where students can thrive both emotionally and academically. The specific items I’m requesting—snacks, games, and SEL sensory objects—are essential tools to support my students’ growth. Snacks provide nourishment, ensuring no child is distracted by hunger and can focus on learning. Games encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and joy, helping students practice social skills in a fun, engaging way. SEL sensory objects promote emotional regulation, offering students a calm space to manage stress or anxiety during their school day.

This project is designed to meet the basic and emotional needs of my students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

My goal is to equip them with the tools to develop self-control, empathy, and resilience—key skills that will carry them through school and beyond. By meeting their fundamental needs and providing meaningful opportunities for social and emotional growth, I aim to set them up for success in every aspect of their lives.

What makes my students special is their resilience and potential. Despite challenges, they show up ready to learn, grow, and connect. They are curious, compassionate, and full of energy. I teach in a community that values learning but often faces barriers to accessing essential resources. This project will ensure my students have what they need to feel supported and empowered in our classroom. With your help, I can provide them with tools to meet their needs, nurture their confidence, and inspire them to reach their fullest potential.
