Classroom Basics for a Healthy, Happy, and Organized 2022!
Help me give my students classroom basics like binders, dividers, folders, cardstock, Clorox Wipes, and a Feelings Journal for a great start to the new year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a special education teacher in a Title One, priority school. This means that there is very little funding; yet, we have a high need for materials to support instruction. My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. These challenges do not stop them from participating in class with a bright smile and an eagerness to learn something new.
I love how curious my students are about the world around them and how much they love school and learning!
My students are a diverse group of learners that bring a variety of cultures into the classroom. They all bring a unique personality and a strong desire for learning. In our class, we focus on a growth mindset, fostering positive relationships with our peers, and choosing kindness above everything else. This year brought upon some of the most difficult challenges, yet, my students showed perseverance and remarkable achievement through the school year. Their eagerness to learn is what keeps me motivated.
My Project
My students work hard and are determined to demonstrate their best ability to show growth. My classroom is a safe space where students can feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. I want to create an environment where students can access their learning materials easily, stay organized, and are set up for success.
My students deserve a clean, positive and safe learning environment after such a challenging school year.
In order to make important decisions about students, plan the next steps, it is necessary to share information with each other during data team meetings, teacher teams planning time, and meetings with administration. We will use the binders and dividers for organizing student data to improve performance. We plan on using these supplies in the classroom daily to support students' organization skills, create durable visuals to support learning, and work on their social-emotional growth throughout the coming school year and beyond!!
