This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a special education classroom. I currently have a calendar where I write all the assignments on it. That way, if the students miss, they can look and see what was done. However, I am noticing that the students will look and see what they missed, but then they forget what assignment they need to ask me for.

It has happened enough that I want to figure out a new system that will work for them.

I am hoping to set up a station by these calendars for each class. I have 4 classes, which is why I need the 4 totes. I am going to label each class period on the front of the box, then I am going to put all the assignments in these totes. That way the students can look for the assignment that they need

I also started a word wall this year. I am wanting to laminate the work they have done on this wall. That way I can use it in the future. I am wanting to laminate the example posters and then put magnets on the back. Then, when we go over the units again next year, I can pull out these posters and put them on the board. That way the new students will have peer examples of the work they should be doing.
