Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me get started with creating a more engaging classroom with wooden letters, magnetic letters, puzzles, and a few other classroom materials. When students engage with each other in learning tasks, they remember material better and they figure out how to apply and extend their new knowledge more effectively. In addition, this approach promotes learning among students from diverse backgrounds and who have diverse learning styles. Active learning strategies are also simply more interesting, both for the instructor and for the students. Some kinds can be done with relatively little preparation; others require more careful logistical preparation.
