Help me give my students colors and classics! As we return to school in January 2021 after nearly 8 months of distance learning, students will be eager to read, read, read, and create, create, create!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Eighth grade students are inquisitive, interactive and interested in sharing their thoughts, ideas and points of view. My students come from various backgrounds, knowledge base and abilities - from Special Education to English Language Learners to Gifted and Talented students.
My students are eager to get back to school and learn face to face.
They are ready to read a paper book rather than a pdf or online counterpart. They read for knowledge, they read to interact, and they read for the love of reading. As our small class library grows, it is evident that these 8th graders are ready and willing to pick up "that next book".
After learning from home the past two semesters, students are ready to get back to class. Help me replenish class favorites for our library.
My Project
After 8 months of distance learning, students are eager to return to class! All have spent months learning on devices, so help me welcome them back with a replenishment of class novel favorites and colored markers. We will get "back to the basics" with more paper/ pencil learning and book-in-hand reading to give tired eyes a break from learning solely on devices.
With a good book and a new pack of markers, students will feel the comfort of traditional classroom learning and engagement!
