This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With these novels, students will be exposed to literature from different genres, authors, and backgrounds. Teaching these novels will help students' literacy skills and their ability to think critically. These are great classic American novels, which I think every student should have the opportunity to read before they graduate.
I love reading, and I hope these books get kids to love it too.
I want kids to leave class wanting to know what's going to happen next and be excited when they come into class the next day.
With these novels, students will get to forget about their lives and dive into the book. I hope to have great classroom discussions about these novels, which is what every English teacher hopes for.
