Help me give my students circuit training stations to build their endurance, coordination, muscle tone, self-confidence and overall well being. Our class would like to build upon our current fitness equipment.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is 65% free and reduced lunch, most of my students are English language learners and live in an urban community. Our intellectually disabled moderate class is comprised of 16 students with eligibilities such as Autism, Other Health Impairments, and Intellectual Disabilities. My students come to school each day with the love for learning and are always happy, kind, and want to be the best versions of themselves.
The alternative curriculum which is based on the premise that every student no matter how severe his or her disability is capable of living, working, and recreating in the community as a successful citizen.
We focus on engaging students in constructive and personal leisure activities in school, home, and the community. We focus on increasing the likelihood of our students functioning as contributing adults within our society and increase opportunities of obtaining employment. We need to prepare our students to become as independent as possible in his or her living environment. Subject areas include community awareness, social awareness, money handling and time management, practical writing skills, and social skills.
My Project
The Unified Sports Team at AEE consists of softball, basketball, and soccer. Our population of students has to compete with other sports teams for time in the weight room. I have turned a section of my class into a fitness center where students currently work on yoga poses, workout to fitness videos and utilize light weights.
The addition of an agility ladder will increase their coordination and lateral movements.
The medicine balls will enhance their strength and coordination. The cones will be used to not only mark of stations, but also for relays and activities to increase motor and agility skills. By adding this additional fitness equipment, staff wants to increase their ability to run down a basketball court, run bases and run down the soccer field. Staff also hopes these new fitness routines will reduce injuries due to lack of coordination.
