Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are resilient and engaged learners. In spite of having to continuously overcome obstacles in their personal lives and outside of school, they support and care deeply for each other.

Giving my minoritized students a way to present their collective identity will remind them that they are here, they are proud of who they are, and they represent a greater community.

This project will allow my students to carry this reminder with them beyond the walls of our classroom, beyond the walls of our school, and beyond our time together in fifth grade.
