Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 9th-12th graders in the special education program (Reading and English). Students will be able to choose flexible seating to help them focus and feel more comfortable. Snacks are available for students to also help them focus so they don't have to try to learn on an empty stomach.

Students benefit from working collaboratively and engaging one another in discourse.

The flip charts and markers allow students to work in groups through (they love working in "expert groups" and creating mind mirrors for characters). Dry erase pockets will help reduce the amount of paper used when we need to focus on specific skills for their IEP services.

Lastly, basic cleanliness supplies help keep a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone.
