These items will be used to offer various rewards to my students. I will be able to offer items to hold a "class store" where I will be able to individually reward students for behavior and academic achievements. I will also be able to offer whole class rewards for good behavior and reaching goals as a class. I believe that having these reward systems in place will help to add motivation to students and help them have a little extra push when things are tough. When learning new skills students can get nervous to start or to try, but when offered something simple like a small reward helps to give them that push to try new things and push themselves academically.
Having these rewards for my students it will help me with behavior management and give those students an extra incentive to be respectful in the classroom.
By having this variety of prizes to offer, it really will help to open my reward system and what I can do with it. For example, I will have the option to give big rewards for a whole class reward like a read-aloud from a new story, or candy that can offer instant gratification. I plan to have different rewards and different ways to display them so that when I do my class store weekly I can do it more efficiently and quicker.
