Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Humanities: Academic Elective class, our goal is to increase literacy skills by instilling a life-long love of reading across all genres.
This class set of Suzanne Collin's The Hunger Games will be a wonderful resource for our gifted middle school readers to compare and contrast their study of US history with the dystopian America shown in this best-selling novel.
In addition to the class set, we will use novel study resources that focus on the introduction of new vocabulary, critical thinking, writing activities, document analysis, and a final culminating project.
More than half of students from low‑income households
