it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help supply students with a class set of Orwell's 1984. It is considered classic literature that offers high school seniors a profound exploration of the dystopian genre, which aids in fostering critical thinking and discussion. Helping with this project provides students with the opportunity to interact with themes such as surveillance, propaganda, and individuality. By studying 1984, students gain access to a celebrated piece of literature while developing their ability to think independently and question authority, preparing them to navigate the modern world with a deeper awareness of the dangers of conformity and unchecked power.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
