This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will provide the students in my class with hard copies of the novel Matilda by Roald Dahl to be used in our novel study unit. This novel touches on several themes - loyalty, friendship, and justice are among the most salient. This will be our last novel study of the school year. We will use this novel as a springboard to discuss these themes and what it means to be a community member and friend. This novel is engaging and humorous. Hopefully, students will enjoy reading this novel and this experience will contribute to a lifelong love of literature.
