This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title One school in an urban area that welcomes students from all over the world. My students are intelligent and eager to learn. They are also creative with a strong interest in technology. My students are also imaginative and fun-loving children.

Never did I imagine that when my students said goodbye in March, it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom.

We have embarked on an online learning adventure . I use many different online programs to help my students learn and to stay in contact with them. I would also use the laptop to communicate with their parents about their child's learning in my class.

I need a new laptop to replace the one that I have that is very old and does not operate that well, on a consistent basis. I like to teach my students thru the Zoom app and it helps to have a reliable, up to date laptop.

My Project

With the new laptop, I will create many new lessons and exciting projects for distance learning opportunities for my students . It is also important to have the laptop , if my students have any questions or would like to communicate with me.

When we return to school, the students will use the new laptop to create movies, do word processing, and do science projects.

They will also use the laptop do to research. The laptop will definitely benefit my student's learning! Distance learning is a challenge, but my students and myself are making it work!
