This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am asking for your help to fund a reading library for my 1st grade class. Reading is very important for children as it helps them learn and grow. In first grade, students are just beginning to explore the world of books. They learn new words, improve their reading skills, and use their imagination. A reading library with many different books will give my students a chance to enjoy stories and discover new ideas. Kids need a space where they can pick books and read them. When they have access to more books, it helps them become better readers.

Having a reading library will also make learning more fun for my students.

When children find books that interest them, they are excited to read. This excitement makes them want to learn more. A library can have many types of books, like picture books, stories about animals, and fairy tales. Each book can take them on a new adventure. When children read regularly, they build confidence in their reading skills. They learn to love reading, which is a gift that will last a lifetime.
