My Project

COVID-19 has significantly impacted my students’ learning, especially in hands-on activities and social-emotional development. The shift to remote learning limited experiential lessons and peer interactions, leading to disengagement and academic gaps in science and SEL skills. The materials I’m requesting—soil, plant starters, planters, books about seeds, hands-on tools for learning about plants, and SEL aids—will help address these challenges.

Impact of Materials:

Hands-On Learning: Soil, Plant Starters, and Planters will facilitate experiential learning about plant biology and ecosystems, enhancing students’ understanding and engagement.

Literacy Enhancement: Books about Seeds and Plants will bridge literacy and science, improving comprehension and critical thinking through real-world connections.

Social-Emotional Development: SEL Aids will help students develop empathy, teamwork, and emotional regulation. Gardening projects will encourage collaboration, patience, and mindfulness.

Classroom Environment: Additional supplies will create a structured and inviting learning space, fostering motivation and focus.

My students are resilient, creative, and eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds and thrive in hands-on, engaging environments.
