My Project
I have been teaching drama for the past three years to students who were all new to theatre. During this time, I have discovered the transformative power of the arts and how they can expand students' minds and imaginations. To further enhance their learning experience, I plan to create the illusion of a stage in my classroom.
My vision involves using curtains to create a backstage area, which will help students understand the concept of onstage and offstage spaces.
I will hang these curtains using rope, as extension rods are too short for the space. By creating this stage-like environment, it will be much easier to teach them stage directions and theatre etiquette, making the learning process more immersive and effective.
With a dedicated stage area and costumes, students will have a tangible space to practice and perform, bringing their lessons to life. This setup will not only aid in their understanding of theatre concepts but also foster a sense of professionalism and excitement about the performing arts.
