My group of 62 PHENOMENAL fifth graders are such innovative, kind, and energetic students. Recently, I've noticed -even more than usual, the comfort these students seek from our classroom. Myself, along with countless colleagues and students feel fatigued from the continued frustrations of this pandemic.
This being my student's third school year effected my the Coronavirus pandemic; they deserve all the fun and comforts I can provide.
Our health and wellness is key to make learning engaging, accessible and enjoyable for years to come.My students would wildly benefit from a few more touches of comfort and stability to their classroom norm! Forming these positive spaces for my kids can only give them a better approach to school now and in the future. I’m proud of them daily and want to see them succeed in all things!
My Project
To help my students amid the pandemic I could use the storage items in our classroom to create warmer, more homey spaces for them; the second portion of the supplies are more geared towards math manipulative and making their learning fun in a variety of ways. Other basics for our classroom will overall make our shared space run smoothly and provide more for these 62 future change-makers!
The resources I have requested from the "CLASS" OSDE opportunity in partnership with DonorsChoose will directly go to making my students feel welcome, comfortable, and engaged both in their learning community and their academics.
