My Students
We are an ICT classroom that thrive not only to enhance the academic skills in our students but also their social emotional needs. Our students are capable leaders with amazing talents, strengths, and motivation. Our class strives for excellence in all they do!
Our students each have their own individual needs- but some of our range of abilities include autism, ADHD, ADD, speech and language impairments, and OT/PT needs.
My Project
In our classroom we focus on the positive. We learn about and celebrate each other's differences. What better way to learn, celebrate, and explore these differences, then by reading books. We have aligned books to our Ruler (morning meeting-social emotional) curriculum. We will be discussing different emotions this year and how to regulate these emotions. Most of all- we will be building a safe, loving, and caring community (while enhancing our academic needs, as well).
We have also chosen books to meet our special education needs.
We hope these books help our students see connections in themselves and others!
