Help me give my students a document camera to complete live worksheets, manipulate materials for math and Language Arts, model writing, and display clear picture books for engaging read alouds.
Our school is located in Queens, New York. We come from a culturally diverse area and work to provide equal opportunities for all! The students at my school are young, energetic, and eager to learn. Nothing makes me happier than watching them grow into independent individuals.
My goal is to create an equitable and organized in-person and remote classroom to invite students to learn in a relaxing digital environment.
Just like so many schools around, our classroom is fully remote and so students will be working remotely from home.
My Project
A document camera is such an essential tool for teachers to model instruction for all learners in 21 century. Our students thrive on visual support and modeling to better grasp the concepts. The Elmo document camera would be our classroom document camera when we are learning in school and also used during distance learning.
As we return to normalcy in the future this technology will be an integral part of their learning.
Due to social distancing guidelines set by CDC, students are spread all around the classroom which makes seeing things harder for some students. The Elmo document camera will make picture books and various documents enlarged when used with a smartboard. When working remotely, the Elmo document camera can also bring more clarity through students' devices.
