Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a middle school band teacher in an inner-city school and I teach students from sixth to eighth grade. Most of my students come from a low socioeconomic background.
We are requesting clarinet reeds for my students.
These resources will allow me to keep kids equipped with quality reeds that are necessary for them to perform their best. If we do not supply the reeds, students end up playing with chipped, broken, or overly-worn reeds that fail to make a quality tone and discourage students in their practice.
With your generous donation, our students will have access to new reeds for their clarinets. This will keep the music going! Your donation would make sure that every student that needs a reed would have one. The funding of this project allows our band students to continue with instrumental music. You make instrumental music possible for my students.
