Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Obtaining the cubbies will make a significant difference in my students' learning. They will be provided with a dedicated, organized space for their belongings, allowing them to begin their day with structure and organization. The routine of placing your belongings at an assigned space develops important life skills such as responsibility, independence, and respect for each other's things, setting a foundation for positive social-emotional growth. As a teacher, my goal is to create an environment where each child feels intendent, with a sense of organization, and secure, ultimately enhancing their ability to learn and thrive.
What makes my students special is how they care for each other's belongings.
Despite their young age, they consistently show kindness by sharing, respecting each other's space, and helping one another. With cubbies, they will not only have a physical space for their belongings but also learn the importance of keeping their world orderly, which will boost their confidence and ability to learn. This project will empower them to take ownership of their classroom and foster a long-term respect for others space the same way others will respect theirs.
