My Project
All work and no play makes students go a little nuts. When you start as a teacher, you are often told that class points and prizes are great and will fix everything. Only problem is that there is rarely any followup on how to get those prizes to pass out without having to buy them. There usually is no guidance on how to set up and structure the point system or the levels for different prizes. Particularly students with behavioral or academic struggles or disabilities really benefit from reward systems that let them play.
Donors Choose is a fantastic way to get all sorts of fun little prizes to reward students and encourage improved effort and behavior.
So many of my kids love the fidget box and so fidgety little toys are the best prizes!
Having a stockpile of prizes available to teachers to pull from for incentives for struggling students or for prizes for games at school events makes setting up fun and engaging setting for students much easier for teachers.
