Civil Rights Materials

Help me give my students literature, posters and other materials that educate them on the fight for civil rights that has, and is, taken place in America.

My Project

Despite being part of one of the poorest counties in Florida, my students have worked hard to excel and learn more and more about their rights and their role in the government.

This project would help to foster a deeper understanding of the fight for civil rights, the leaders that stood up, and legislation that was passed in an attempt to ensure the promises of the Constitution are extended to all.

We talk thoroughly about the Civil Rights Acts and amendments to the Constitution that extended the rights of minorities. These materials would help to make this information come alive. I plan on having students read and present on these books.
