My Students
My students attend a Title I school in a rural community. Title I schools have a majority of students who qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch.
My class is made up of a wide range of interests and ability levels.
I have a lot of divergent learners who need to keep their hands or bodies active in order to learn.
My Project
As a third grade science standard, students have to be able to identify how a basic circuit is made, as well as have a basic understanding of magnets. These STEM activity kits allow students to build circuits of a wide variety and explore magnets.
These STEM activities allow for creativity and invention as students design their own circuits through exploration.
The activities help bring the standards alive as students can actual see there must be a power source and a closed circuit for electricity to flow. These students will delight in seeing light bulbs glow and fans spin.
Students also have to identify the force of magnets. The magnet stem boxes will allow for magnet exploration.
The ink cartridges will allow for the students to submit and print their findings after exploration.
