Circuitry with Scrappy Circuits!

My Project

Scrappy Circuits is an innovative and scrappy way to learn about electrical circuits using everyday household materials. Students get to take apart flameless tea light candles and use those parts, along with cardboard and binder clips, to learn about series and parallel circuits! This is an engaging STEM activity and a great introduction to basic circuitry.

Students then take on the challenge of paper circuitry, using copper tape and 5mm LEDs to make creative circuits on a paper.

They make light-up greeting cards, interactive games or three-dimensional pop-up paper sculptures that have working lights in them. Students can start with something simple and quickly move to a more personalized and complicated creation.
