Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love coming to the rug for morning meeting and group lessons. Small group lessons have been very effective.
I have 28 students in my class.
Their families come from Mexico, Dominican Republic, Vietnam and Bangladesh just to name a few. They attend one of the largest and highest ranking public elementary schools in New York City. My students are very bright and have tremendous potential.
My Project
I am requesting a low to the ground easel to be used during small group lessons. Each side has a magnetic write & wipe surface and a sturdy ledge to display big books. We can sit around the easel and be part of the lesson. This is interactive learning. The easel will help my students stay focused and be more involved in the lesson.
The Circle Time Teaching Easel can be a very effective tool when teaching a small group of children.
The easel can also be used in our Literacy Center where students direct the lesson.
