My students need an easel for direct literacy instruction during whole groups. The reading games will be for direct literacy instruction in small groups.

My Students

My students are a wonderful mix of personalities! They are funny and sweet, charismatic and kind. We have a literacy and STEM focused school and we are in need of materials to facilitate our learning in and out of the classroom. We are a neighborhood school so many of these students will be here for the duration of their Elementary school days. There are many uses for the materials we are asking for throughout our day: math, literacy, science, social studies, etc. Thank you for helping us out!

My Project

This teaching easel will be the heart of our literacy instruction. Right now, I cannot read any of my Big Books aloud to students easily because there is nothing to put the books on as we read and point to the story.

The teaching easel can be used as a resource for our Word Work, working with phonics and word families.

Each week, we work with a new word family and this could be used each day for sorting our words for our word families.

We will be able to use the lined dry erase board during Writing each day for creating our stories.

The Literacy Games will be used in direct literacy instruction with struggling readers and as a resource for all students in the class.
