Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a kindergarten teacher and we spend most of our time on the rug. Having a comfortable area for us to learn will benefit my classroom. My students will be more comfortable and not feel like they are sitting on the floor.
I use the rug to create a family feel in my classroom.
We gather to do morning meeting, read a loud, we share important/ exciting news, we do learning with manipulatives and we have great discussions/conversation. Circle time on the rug gives me the opportunity to create an engaging environment in my class.
