Chronicling Our Mental Health Journey

Help me give my students an outlet for expressing and understanding their own mental health by creating a book over the course of the school year using materials to create a keepsake.

My Project

Children often need opportunities to spend time exploring and understanding their own mental health. I want to provide the materials necessary for children to express their feelings. The paper, computer ink, colored pencils, binding covers, pens, and privacy boards will give the children a creative outlet for developing a healthy chronicle of his/her mental health journey.

I am excited to see the growth and self-awareness the children gain from expressing themselves as they explore their own mental health using the materials and a dedicated space for creating a keepsake journal.

The children at my school are resilient, and with the proper guidance and materials, I am confident that they can grow and thrive on their individual journeys with pride and growing awareness.
