I teach 5th and 6th graders from the North Lawndale Area of Westside Chicago. They are enthusiastic about using technology in the classroom. Whenever we have to type assignments they are completely engaged. They loving typing and learning about new applications in technology. By having access to technology this will give students another avenue to express themselves. My students are in need of different ways to show their learning. These students are more than ready to be 21st century learners!
My Project
Chromebooks are the pathway to college and career success. With chromebooks students will be able to learn how to utilize the google chrome applications such as google docs, slides, and sheets. With this knowledge students will be able to write papers, create projects, and analyze data. These skills will ensure they are ready for highschool, college, and beyond. We have to share chromebooks with the school but we if we have them in the classroom students can utilize them during different times of the day. This will increase student engagement and students will enjoy having access to the world beyond the classroom
