Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the type that keep me on my toes and always smiling. They inspire me to work harder and see the world through their eyes! They have taught me many things throughout the years.

One of the most important lessons these children have taught me is that "Learning should always be fun!" I currently teach a group of second grade superstars who have a love for learning and technology!

The students range in age from 7 to 8 years old. My school is located in Nevada in a high-need, low income community. You won't meet a more inspiring group of kids!

My Project

I would love to supply my awesome second graders with the best technology so that they can have the opportunity to utilize our school programs such as Google Classroom, Think Central, and Accelerated Reader. All of these programs need to be completed on a computer. This is one of the reasons why I want to give my students the chance to use Chromebooks.

My students will have more opportunities for success on these various programs in the classroom by using a Chromebook.

In addition, Chromebooks have a keyboard attached which provides students a chance to work on their typing skills. The daily use of the Chromebook in the classroom helps build a technological foundation for my students.
