My students are in the foundational years of learning. These first couple years of school are some of the most important. I want to give them the best experience of school and set them up for success!
I teach in a high poverty school in Florida where most students are on free or reduced lunch.
School is a place where my students come to learn and grow. I want them to have every advantage possible, so they develop a love of learning and curiosity about the world in which they live.
My Project
We have very few student computers, so it is difficult for my students to be able to take AR tests after reading and practice what they have learned. My students will be able to practice foundational reading and math skills with the Chromebooks. This will help set them up for success in school and throughout their lives.
Students will be able to use online games and learning applications to practice math and reading skills.
They will also be able to research topics of interest in science and social studies. In today's world, digital fluency is a necessity and the Chromebooks will help my students gain this necessary skill.
