My students need Chromebooks in our classroom to get hands-on experience using computers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school excited to learn, but they don't often have access to the tools necessary to excel in our increasingly technology driven world. The majority of them are Title I students, receiving free lunch. Most of my students travel on a bus about an hour each way to attend our school. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
Through the use of technology in our classroom, my students will have the opportunity to access the latest learning platforms and programs.
Many of my students don't have computers at home; this will give them the hands-on experience to research, learn, and create.
My Project
These Chromebooks will give my 2nd graders the opportunity to grow academically and independently.
This project will help my students have access to quality programs that will improve their academics and expose them to computer science.
These Chromebooks will aid in the implementation of literacy and math centers with online programs that will improve math and reading skills. We will also be using them for group projects and team building.
Donations to this project will assist students, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn through computers, gain the confidence and exposure to be successful, and hopefully spark a life-long interest in computer science!
