My Project
The use of Chromebooks is almost daily in my second grade classroom. With small group instruction being so important, Chrombooks have become a station that allows students to work on both reading and math using a district platform that caters to the individual's need. Currently, we have 30 student Chromebooks scattered throughout the classroom. This situation leaves wires along almost each wall in an effort to keep them charged. Having the exposed wires is not ideal in a class of second grade students. Without much organization, students are not able to retrieve their own computers, much less put them away. With a charging cart, students would not only have the opportunity to showcase their independence with an assigned charging spot, wires and power strips would not be needed, creating a much safer space.
