My Students
My students are going to change the world. I am fully and totally confident in that. I teach all gifted 8th graders and enjoy every minute of it.
My students are hard-working, self-motivated, and awe-inspiring.
I am proud of them every day for the work I see them complete. They are not ones to sit by idly and wait for handouts. They are going to achieve much in their lives. I expect to see their names in the news for their many accomplishments.
My Project
My students need another Chromebook to put us one step closer to having a one-to-one classroom. Students are allowed to bring devices to school, but often these are mismatched, sometimes functioning, mostly malfunctioning. We struggle using technology in the classroom, because students come to school with so many different devices. With another Chromebook, that is one more student who will have reliable technology to aid their learning.
Chromebooks, I have found, are one of the most reliable technology tools for the classroom.
My gifted students will be entering a workforce I cannot imagine. It is my intention to prepare them for different and changing circumstances under which they'll be hired.
