Chromebooks for Scholars

My students need 4 Chromebooks so we can consistently use technology in the classroom.

My Students

My classroom is made up of 20 students from all different backgrounds. My classroom has a variety of different learners and my goal in life is to create a fun learning environment for all.

I work in a large school with a very high immigrant population.

Students at my school come from poverty-driven homes. I see a lot of my students come to school with the same clothes each day. They are all needy in their own way. Although they are needy most of them try to stay positive.

My Project

Receiving these Chromebooks will allow my students to have access to technology most of the time. I’ve always wanted to do Google Classroom and having these will help me get started.

I currently share laptops with 3 other teachers and they never seem to stay charged.

Some of the keys don’t work and they freeze a lot. I’ve put in a lot of tickets yo fix the computers we currently use and feel as if it gets worse every year.

My students will use the computers in math, science, reading and writing. It’s a requirement in third grade that all students learn to type. It has been a challenge over the years to accomplish this because of the quality of our computers. I can do more teaching with reliable computers.
