My Students

My class is a small class of 15 students made up of both girls and boys. They attend a school in Mississippi where there are varied income levels. Many of the students in my class come from single parent families.

These students have chosen my class, Teacher Academy, because they want to one day join the teaching profession.

They have a passion for helping others and want to make a difference in the world. They ARE our future teachers who may impact the lives of others for many years to come!

My Project

The students in my class WANT to be teachers. They are committed to learning everything they can about the history of education, human development, teacher effectiveness, careers in education, and the steps necessary to becoming a teacher.

We are a Model Technology Classroom.

The students do a lot of research on what it takes to be the best and most effective teacher. Since we are teaching and learning in the digital age, the chromebooks could further increase my students' knowledge of education and better enable them to explore all areas in the field of education in order to make the right career decision.
