This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Well, honestly I don't even know where to start off when talking about my students! Each and everyone of them have their own personality which makes them all unique and special in their own ways. I could tell you that overall they are a very caring and loving group. They care for each other like brothers and sisters. They also help and support each other inside and outside of the classroom. I constantly catch them reminding each other of things they should be doing and how they could become better individuals.

My students are also very outgoing and curious.

Although it could sometimes be a little difficult to handle, it is something I embrace in them. They are not afraid to ask questions, share their opinions or help guide each other when they see a classmate lost. I always imagined this helpful environment in my classroom and realized with this group of students, that they are the ones that make the environment that way.

Lastly, my students LOVE to read. I have instilled in them this love for reading through a variety of books in my classroom library. You can always catch them with a book in their hands!

My Project

I am asking for four chromebooks. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because a chromebook will give them the opportunity to work on tasks using technology and become familiar with different features computers have.

My students will use these chromebooks to work on reaching I-Ready goals, incorporate them while reading to take Accelerated Reader quizzes and use them to work on educational games like Kahoot.

By getting these laptops I can incorporate more technology and deepen each child’s learning experience.

In this time era, technology is everywhere. Exposing students to technology at a young age will allow them to be in touch with the real world and understand how all information is right there for us to discover.

Also, allowing them to search the web and use the computer would be a great way to get students aware of the right ways to use the Internet. If they are instilled in these values from the beginning, they will be reminded of the appropriate ways to use computers when communicating or searching for content.
