My Students

I teach first grade at an amazing school. We have high poverty, but that doesn't stop them from working hard and learning. My students know the meaning of respect, courage and perseverance. They love technology and connecting with the world; this gift would help them to do so on a daily basis.

In the span of a day I teach 50+ 1st grade students because we share our students for reading and language groups.

This year, I am teaching the students that are above grade level. I am not able to give my students access daily to technology for projects and centers that will help them take their learning to the next level. I would love to see them be able to create things on apps like iMovie or be able to spend 15 minutes a day working on typing skills. My school is about 50% low socioeconomic status, so it is important that these students have exposure to modern technology and blended learning to prepare them for the world ahead. Thank you in advance for any help that you can offer.

My Project

At our school, we rotate students for reading to ensure that every student is learning at their own pace. The great thing about this is that your generosity will help not just the 26 students in my classroom, but the 50+ first grade students that I teach this year and many others for years to come. What better way to spend your money and get a tax write-off? With these Chromebooks, I promise that the students will continue to have amazing learning experiences and will be so grateful for it. The Chromebooks will help my students in all aspects of learning from Reading to Math to Social Studies.
