My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students are a typical variety of middle school students, including Special Education students.

They thrive when they are working together, hands-on. Since we are in a high poverty school, my students don't always have the materials that help them best for learning. This is why they need you.

My Project

We all know that learning today is much different than when we were in school! My students need Chromebooks in class to advance in their class technology usage. My students are at a disadvantage because we are not a one to one device school. There are so many learning opportunities that they are missing out on.

I believe with having a group of Chromebooks, I can level the playing field and provide a type of learning that I haven't been able to provide.

With having five Chromebooks available, I would be able to provide a small group of students review or enrichment activities. I could also provide a resource to my students while they are working in their collaborative groups.

Math is my primary focus, but I also have a couple of students that have just move to the USA and speak no English. I am looking forward to using a Chromebook to assist me in communicating with them.
