My Students
Students at my school come together from many different backgrounds and abilities to create a beautiful community that we call home. We have both self-contained Montessori classes and self-contained gifted classrooms, as well as our mainstream classrooms, so we are able to meet a large variety of learning styles and student needs.
My students are curious about how the world works, and I try to foster that curiosity with project-based curriculum, and hands-on learning experiences.
My Project
There are many things I would love to do on technology as a teacher, but access to computers/devices at our school is very limited. With these new Chromebooks, I would be able to get more students connected to technology each day. The Chromebooks would allow for enough technology for station work in my classroom during math, science, and research projects. My students would also be able to use to Chromebooks to support publishing their work.
Many of them have computers at home, but they're using them for gaming and videos.
These Chromebooks will help them gain more confidence with internet research, Google Suite, and other websites. Being able to navigate and use technology is such a vital skill for students in this digital world today.
