Chromebooks for Health Classes

Help me give my students the technology to continue to develop their level of knowledge for health related issues. These Chromebooks will be used by all Health Education students in our school.

My Students

My high school students are very hard working, motivating and determined individuals. Some of my students come from the most challenging environments, but they work hard to overcome all of their obstacles.

Our school is in an inner city magnet school, where we have an extremely diverse population.

18.5% of adolescents in America are obese and the percentage of adolescents that are obese from a lower socioeconomic status only rises from there. My students are smart, loving students who deserve the proper tools and knowledge to beat the odds that are unfortunately against them.

My Project

The Chromebook computers, that I am asking for, will provide my students with the extra resources they need to be successful learners in my classroom. These computers will be used for research, assignments and many activities that will drastically change the learning that will take place in the class. The students will be able to research facts and history of the many health related issues that directly affect their diverse backgrounds.

Currently, my students do not have access to computers within the classroom which makes many activities/projects challenging.

In today's society, it's hard to believe that there are still classrooms without computers for students. Therefore, I want to change this for my kids. With the use of the Chromebooks we will be able to dive into specific examples of how our health curriculum relates to each and every student.
