This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the joys of your elementary music and art class and how excited you got each week when it was your day to go? How about all of the fun instruments you got to play, all of the great performances and fun and messy art creations you made?
My passions are music and children, and by being an elementary music and art teacher, I get to spread my love and joy for music and art with my students.
My Project
My school district has started using Google accounts for every student and staff member this year and are encouraging all students and staff to use them in each of their classes. Our students are using Google Suite apps like Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets and Forms just to name a few!
A downside to this is that our campus is not a 1:1 device campus and many of our students do not have their own.
Therefore, teachers are having to seek out sources to fund items like iPads and laptops. Right now my students are having to share iPads and desktop computers to create and learn. If we were to receive these 5 Chromebooks, it would allow my students more individual time to create and learn!
By having additional technology, my students will be allowed more individual time creating compositions and to do interactive music activities through their curriculum student accounts.
