My students are inquisitive and have set aspiring goals for themselves which I know they can attain. Our school is very culturally diverse and we have over 19 languages represented at our school. My class has several students who receive ESL services. Our school receives Title 1 Funding. All of our students are served breakfast in the classroom daily and 80% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of my students do not have access to books at home or technology. I would love for my students to have access to Chromebooks daily and for all subjects throughout the day.
My Project
I am requesting Chromebooks so my students can do research, practice keyboarding, and practice reading and math skills during center and independent work time. This will benefit my above grade level students and my approaching grade level students by differentiating lessons through the use of technology. Many students do not have access to technology at home and my goal is for my students to be able to have access to technology daily.
Technology engages all students.
I have several learning levels in my classroom and this project is very important to me and my students to enhance independent work time and center time. The Chromebooks I am asking for will help prepare them for the 21st century, will help make them successful students, and will increase their learning in a world that is technology based. It is important for them to have access to technology daily so they can attain their goals.
