My students are constantly surprising me with their open mindedness.
My students attend New York City public school and mainly reside in Brooklyn.
We are part of a NYC Outward Bound School. We use the EL Education model, which has its roots in Outward Bound. We are a diverse and respectful community committed to developing students and staff who are kind, open-minded, persistent, responsible, and courageous. With support from peers, staff, families and school partners, students engage in challenging academic and social experiences that prepare them for college level learning and full participation in civic life. Students learn to apply their intellect and effort to benefit themselves and their community.
My Project
Right now all our school Chromebooks have been lent out to students. The remaining devices we have are over 10 years old and are in desperate need of replacement. These devices will help to replenish the loss of technology that our school has experienced during the current school closures.
We know that technology will allow for increased student success.
We want to ensure that when all of our students return to the building they have resources that are in great shape and will hold up to their usage for years to come!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
